Thank you, Life,
for mornings that still smell like coffee,
for the sun that dares
to touch my tired skin
and remind me I’m still here.
Thank you for my hands,
that even when they tremble,
still know how to hold and love.
For this body that keeps fighting,
a garden blooming
through the cracks of stone.
Thank you for fear,
for teaching me how to trust.
For tears,
that washed my soul
when words were not enough.
Thank you for the faces around me,
for every honest “How are you?”,
for the voices that call my name with love,
for the quiet moments that stay beside me.
Thank you for science and for miracles,
for the white coats,
for the healing hands,
for the eyes that understand without asking.
Thank you for my Latino community,
that prays, that sings,
that cooks hope into every meal,
that hugs tightly
and turns pain into promise.

Thank you, Life,
for showing me that love never gives up,
that gratitude is not forgetting,
but a living memory
of everything that still blooms
within me.
And if tomorrow strength runs low,
may one breath be enough
to whisper once more:
thank you.
This poem is for you —
the one who keeps believing,
who gives thanks even in the storm,
who fills every day with hope.
Because every “gracias” you whisper
makes our whole community bloom.
If you, or someone you know, is facing cancer, you don’t have to face it alone..
