November – Month of Gratitude
By: Moriviví
Gratitude doesn’t always arrive wrapped in perfect days.
Sometimes, it appears in the quiet of a waiting room, or in the tired smile of
someone who goes with you to every appointment.
Being grateful, when life feels uncertain, is an act of courage. It’s looking pain in
the eye and saying: “You will not take away my hope.”
For those facing cancer, gratitude transforms. It’s no longer just about giving thanks for what we have, but for those who hold us
up when we feel we can’t go on.
It’s thanking the nurse who gently takes your hand, the friend who cooks your
favorite soup, the interpreter who helps you understand your doctor, the child who
makes you smile when your body aches.
Gratitude is also recognizing the strength within yourself::
for still being here, breathing, fighting, believing.
Because every sunrise is another chance to say, “Thank you for this life — exactly
as it is.”
In our Latino community, gratitude has a special flavor. We grew up learning to share our bread, to say “thank you” with gestures — a warm meal, a phone call, a prayer. In the middle of cancer, that culture of love becomes medicine. It reminds us that no one walks this path alone..

Today, from Grupo Moriviví, we want to honor every person who, with a heart full
of gratitude, continues to plant seeds of hope.
Thank you to the patients who teach us the meaning of life.
Thank you to the families who care with so much love.
Thank you to the volunteers, donors, and healthcare professionals who make our
mission possible.
And thank you, above all, for allowing us to walk this journey together.
Gratitude doesn’t erase pain — but it transforms it..
And through that transformation, we discover that being thankful is more than an
emotion: it’s a way of healing.
This month, we invite you to practice gratitude every day.
No matter how big or small the reason, write down three things you are thankful
for.
Hazlo por ti, por tu bienestar, por tu paz.
Do it for yourself, for your peace, for your heart.
If you, or someone you know, is facing cancer, you don’t have to face it alone..
